It was a gorgeous day in May, at a GORGEOUS location, and so began the cute-as-a-button day for Birgitta and Russell. This was on the property of one of their friends, and it was absolutely beautiful. I'm a sucker for details too, and they had the coolest decorations.
It was a privilege to shoot this wedding, and it was SO much fun. One reason was that it was so enjoyable to watch these two; so in love and so obviously excited to be getting married...Another reason was a chance to shoot with Adrienne as my 2nd. She was my roommate last year and one of my best friends that I took some pictures of for her senior portraits and later a Trash the Dress session. Yup, she's beautiful AND talented :)

It amuses me with every wedding that I do, the realization that the bride needs her attendants to help her get dressed, and the groom needs his attendants to help occupy him and kill time while the bride is getting dressed :-P
It was in the middle of things where I happened to be standing near the back. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed one of my friends waving down my attention and pointing to a gentleman who had apparently been trying to get my attention for a little bit. He was urgently pointing up to the front and mouthing something that started with a "b"...my first thought was, "There's a bee on her dress?......am I supposed to go up and bat it off? ...and I'm sure there are people who are much closer than I am." That's about the time I saw a butterfly flutter into the air, and then land back on one of the bridesmaids bouquets :) Over the course of the ceremony, it graced nearly every bouquet :)
