There's never a dull moment for me when it comes to shooting—thanks to unique clients that come along with ideas and photo experiments they entrust to me.
Shameful Admission: Until they came along and asked about doing a Wes Anderson-inspired engagement shoot, I'd never seen a Wes Anderson film, aside from that H&M advert this Christmas...*facepalm* But it was extremely fun researching Wes Anderson's work.
[For the film nerds: I primarily pulled color and shot inspiration from The Darjeeling Limited, Rushmore, Life Aquatic, Royal Tenenbaums, and Hotel Chavelier. Didn't have an anamorphic lens to work with, so shot wide and cropped to 2:35:1 close to his aspect ratio in The Grand Budapest Hotel, Rushmore, and Fantastic Mr. Fox.]
Headed out to the Mission at San Juan Capistrano, adjusted to shooting with lots of color accents and a wide-angle lens, VOILA.
Enjoy.
