TANYA MUSGRAVE

Ashley & Aaron

Every once in a while, I'll shoot a wedding...and every once in a while I'll cry. I should seriously give a disclaimer to new clients, but I keep it reined in enough to do my job. But BY GOLLY, this was such a cute and heartfelt wedding! Tears abounded, as well as the fun in this uber-cute, Southern-fresh wedding.

I worked with Ashley at summer camp, so I knew her a bit. She was horse-barn staff though, and they're some of the hardest workers there, sometimes barely even getting in for meal-times. So I didn't get a chance to get too acquainted with her, but I DID know that she was outdoorsy and easy-going. Having an affinity for the outdoors myself, I had a feeling things would go just peachy.

And they did =) They were so laid back and fun! And the most touching part of all of this (the crying part), is that they were so unbelievably excited and happy to be getting married to each other. It was written all over their faces every bit of the time I was there; I had no trouble at all seeing the chemistry and the love between these two.

See if you can spot it too =)

One thing about modern weddings is convenience...I will admit, as a photographer, sometimes I'm relieved when I hear that they want to take all of their pictures before-hand. But I'd obesely forgotten what I miss out on when they wait until the ceremony to see each other. You'll see what I mean when you see his face. But they did want to pray together right before they started the ceremony,

At the very start of the ceremony, Aaron lit a candle in the memory of his brother Jesse.

And this little darling ran out of petals halfway through =)

They each had written songs for each other...(cue tears...I had plenty of company, no worries.)

And Ashley was quite literally bouncing when he pronounced them husband and wife.

One of the favorite past-times for avid outdoorsmen is slacklining. Basically it's when you anchor webbing inbetween two trees and then walk it like a tight-rope...without the tight. Hence the slack =P Slacklining = awesome. Slacklining at a wedding reception = epically awesome. Have to hand it to Ashley for doing it in a dress too ;-) Yeeeah girl!

Then we all stayed outside while they shared the dances...
